The air-cooled stretching and pelletizing system of the twin-screw experimental pelletizer is one of its key components, used to stretch and cut the continuously extruded plastic strips into uniform pellets.
The air-cooling system is located near the extrusion head or discharge port of the extruder and rapidly cools the extruded plastic strips by means of a forced air flow. The stretching unit is located after the air cooling system and is primarily used to stretch the cooled plastic strips into finer, continuous strips. This step not only helps to further cool and cure the plastic strip, but also adjusts the size and shape of the strip to create better conditions for the subsequent cutting process.
The pelletizing system is a key part of the air-cooled strip cutting system and is used to cut the stretched plastic strips into uniform pellets. The pelletizing system usually consists of a rotating blade or a cutting wheel that cuts the plastic strip into pellets of the desired length by means of precise mechanical movement and control. During the cutting process, the system ensures that the pellets are uniformly sized to meet experimental or production requirements. In addition, the pelletizing system may be equipped with a collection device that facilitates the collection and separation of the cut pellets for subsequent analysis or processing.
